Weekly Recap: 9/6 - 9/12

My Super Exciting Life

This week actually turned out to be much more eventful than expected! I spent the first few days of this week re-watching the entire Star Wars saga in anticipation of The Force Awakens. It was the first time I've watched them on blu-ray with all the new changes and I have to say (unpopular opinion ahead) I really liked most of them! I thought the original trilogy was much more watchable with the added CGI in certain scenes like the various ships and the Cloud City backgrounds. There were some needless additions that were ridiculous, but overall I really enjoyed them!

On Wednesday a package came in the mail... one I've been eagerly anticipating! A few weeks ago I ordered a really awesome necklace from Belle Regalia on Etsy. I had been looking for a Ravenclaw necklace and when I saw this one I HAD to have it! She created a custom order so that I could get just the right size and it is absolutely amazing! I love the vibrant colors and the setting itself is beautiful! I've already worn it a couple days and have actually gotten a few compliments! Right now she has listings in her shop for necklaces inspired by Clockwork Angel, Throne of Glass, and Harry Potter (among others). I highly recommend her shop if you're looking for bookish jewelry!

If that wasn't awesome enough, I also made an impromptu visit to my parents' house for a library book sale. I didn't find much at the sale, to be honest... but I did end up taking a somewhat spontaneous trip to a tattoo parlor with my brother where we got matching tattoos! We had actually been talking about doing it for awhile, so it wasn't totally unexpected, we just didn't realize it was going to happen so soon. The tattoos turned out awesome (I think)!
