Saturday Screen Time #3: Horror and Gods

Happy Saturday, everyone! This week I only watched two movies, but both were fantastic! One was a rewatch and the other is one I've had tickets for and have been waiting impatiently to see.

THIS WEEK IN FILM

Get Out - This Halloween I had a hard time deciding on a movie to watch, but I ended up going with a rewatch of Get Out. Maybe it isn't your typical Halloween flick, but it's one of my favorite horror films of this year! Honestly, it's more of a psychological thriller than jump scare horror, but it'll definitely leave you feeling unsettled. I definitely recommend going in to watch Get Out without knowing much about it.

Thor: Ragnarok - YES!!! I've been waiting my whole life for this moment! (Okay, maybe not my whole life.) Seeing Loki and Hela on screen together was probably one of the absolute best film experiences ever. In case you weren't aware, I am a tiny bit obsessed with Galadriel (and Cate Blanchett), so I was extremely excited for this! Also, I've decided that Hela is Galadriel if she took the One Ring. Think about it. Seriously though, this is easily one of my top two Marvel movies! It didn't feel like any of the other Thor movies and I loved the change of pace. It was so much fun, the jokes all landed, and I loved the interaction between Loki and Thor! There's a very good chance I'll be seeing this again soon.

Have you seen either of these? What did you think?
What movies have you watched lately?
Let me know in the comments!
