Weekly Recap: 6/24 - 6/30

TRACY'S HAPPENINGS OFF THE BLOG

Well, this week was a huge mess. If you've already seen my ALA recap, you know that things did NOT go as expected. We drove 10 hours to NOLA on Friday and had to turn around and drive back early on Sunday because of an extremely sick puppy. Our sitter told us he wasn't feeling well, but listening to his cries on our security camera was the absolute straw that broke the camel's back. It was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever heard in my life. After two ER visits and two days under vet supervision, plus a lot of shoving pills down his throat, I'm extremely glad to announce that Kovu is mostly back to normal! We still have to give him meds for several more days and he has to get his blood rechecked in a week, but I don't think I've ever been so relieved in my life. All of that being said, I did have fun at ALA and got an amazing haul, even if I missed out on a couple signings that happened after we left. Today I'm sharing my haul as a collage, so the covers won't be clickable like they usually are.

CHELCIE'S HAPPENINGS OFF THE BLOG

Hello everyone!  This week has been one heck of a ride. Between working, getting ready for vacation, and almost having to have an emergency root canal I’m pretty beat. That being said, I didn’t get to read as much as I hoped, but I’m definitely going to make that up while on vacation!  I leave Monday for the Adirondacks to celebrate my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary. This is the first trip that my whole entire family has been on so it will be interesting to say the least. I’m just hoping family drama is to a minimum so I can relax and catch up on my reading!
